Eleanor Lowden Pidgeon paintings in Toronto gallery
Eleanor began her career as a professional artist 20 years ago living in Ontario.
Her love of art began very early, and she has always expressed an interest in learning as well as making art. Eleanor studied fine arts at the University of Western Ontario, and continued her studies in art and watercolor at the Ontario College of Art, the Alberta College of Art and through various workshops to broaden her scope. In 1994 she joined the Toronto Watercolor Society . She became a signature member of the TWS and also volunteered as their publicity chairman until December 1999. Eleanor and her family moved to Alberta in January 2000.
A large part of her learning comes through teaching art to adults and children. Most recently she has taught the drawing class at the University of Calgary, Certificate Program and teaches “Courageous Watercolor” at various venues in Calgary and Alberta.
Eleanor paints in both acrylic and watercolor. Her love of painting is expressed through her bold and beautiful color palette. The fall color in Ontario is a big inspiration to her, and she often travels to the east to photograph and paint.
